Thousands of children in the West Charlotte community need additional resources and support to thrive.

Too often the nurturing, dedicated attention, and individual resources kids need aren’t provided by traditional or current channels. Parents and guardians are left scrambling to figure out how to get their children additional educational help and how to cover the costs of what their child needs. The financial impact and the educational setback from the pandemic have been devastating to families. Kids continue to struggle to catch up. “Justin” is one of those kids. He participated in The Legacy Empowerment Center (TLEC) Summer 2022 Academic Session. In just 3 months he gained the needed confidence and skills to start this school year ahead of his expected mastery point. He is so advanced that his teacher has assigned him as the student leader/peer educator for his small group. When the teacher asked his mother how he grew so much academically over the summer, she simply said "TLEC ASP!"

TLEC focuses on the whole family with structured parent involvement in their child’s educational success. We want families to know that they have somewhere to turn to for support. And with more and more families in need, today we are turning to you for support so that we can continue to help as many kids and families as possible.
